Destination: Tangkuban Perahu Mountain (Indonesia)

I had the privilege not only being back to my hometown in Bandung for two weeks, but also visited the tourist attraction in Tangkuban perahu mountain. Tangkuban Perahu is a a dormant volcano and a popular attraction where one can hike or ride to the edge of the crater to view the hot springs and boiling mud up close. It is north from the city of Bandung and last erupted in 1959. One interesting fact is that this mountain called “Tangkuban Perahu” which roughly translate to “upturned boat,” which refer to the local legend and the shape being upturned boat.

I enjoyed the trip and always welcomed the cooler climate. The view is breathtaking and walking along side and further down the mountain is very relaxing. :)
