I had recently adopted a new friend and just got it today. It is 70-200mm 2.8L IS and was bought as a second hand from a friend. I’m pleased with the result so far and I hope that the extra zoom will be handy taking pictures of baby and perhaps with the couples at wedding.
* Update: The lens as advertised does produce a sharp image even at its 200mm. One thing worth noting is that the IS make a little but noticeable noise when the shutter button was pushed half way. It sounded like a whirling sound as the IS gets engaged. I was little surprised at first, but that’s how it works. It’s just my ear being little too sensitive :)
